I’m a Bolivian designer based in NYC, and Yanawara was born six years ago when I decided to create timeless knitwear that showcase the incredible craftsmanship and fibers from the Andes in Bolivia. I design everything here in NYC, but I travel to Bolivia once or twice a year to work directly with our artisan partners and ateliers. We’re a family business, and my sister runs production in Bolivia, we’re passionate about promoting artisan craftsmanship, upscaling local talent, and creating pieces that stand the test of time, each one telling a story from both worlds.
