SPIR CANDLE CO.
We exclusively employ young men with periods of incarceration to make our candles — providing jobs, mentorship, and a space to breathe so they can have the best opportunity to become who they aspire to be
My wife Amy and I opened an event space in 2018 and started working with transitional home shortly after to provide employment to young men with periods of incarceration. During the COVID shutdowns, we started Spir Candle Co. — not much work for the guys at the event space, so we had to find something else! We have loved building relationships with the house and the young men there. ! Not a quick trip! We love these guys, and I will work with this community forever. I wanted to share some high-level highlights with you!

-Provided over 10,000 hours of employment
-Have now worked with 52 young men
We are currently applying for a separate 501(c)(3) that would allow us to fundraise and provide more services to specifically support the young men we work with in their re-entry process. All candles sales go directly back to employing our guys.
