SAMANTHA SLATER STUDIO
Sam is a metalsmithing teacher and artist and has just celebrated 7 years in business. Her jewelry designs are inspired by her childhood growing up in South Africa, as well as the desert landscapes of the United States. Her creations are fun and unusual and aimed to amplify the uniqueness of the wearer.
Sam handpicks all the gemstones she uses, prioritising the people who mine and cut the stones as well as the environment. She uses recycled metals as much as she can and has a zero waste studio.
While Sam has mainly used fabrication techniques in the past she has recently introduced Lost Wax Casting and is very excited by the individuality and creativity she has found within this technique.
Sam also proudly teaches one and two person jewelry making classes in her small North Seattle studio and loves to share her knowledge and help others learn new skills.
