MONDO
As an indigo dyer, I’ve discovered that the process of dyeing not only colors the fabric but also strengthens and reinforces it. I leverage this unique property to upcycle vintage clothing, restoring slightly damaged garments to a renewed state of durability and longevity. My approach is deeply rooted in traditional Japanese dyeing techniques. Indigo is also unique in that its color deepens with each layer of dye applied, allowing for a wide range of shades within the realm of “indigo blue.” I find great joy in exploring these nuances and sharing them with others.
