METAL + STONE GOODS
Hi! I’m Julia, the designer and maker behind Metal + Stone Goods. Creativity has always been a big part of my life, and over the years, I’ve explored a variety of art forms. In 2019, I took a local metalsmithing class, thinking it would be a fun new skill to try—but I quickly realized it was so much more. I found myself completely captivated, showing up early, staying late, and experimenting nonstop. That class sparked what would soon become my small but ever-growing jewelry business.
Since launching Metal + Stone Goods in 2020, my husband and I have lived in Arizona, Hawai’i, and now Grand Rapids, Michigan. Each place has shaped my work in a meaningful way. I often use turquoise, which takes me back to the beautiful Sonoran Desert in Arizona. I love using pearls that I sourced from a local shop I found during our time in Hawai’i. I even occasionally use beach glass found along the coast of both Hawai’i and Michigan. I keep my jewelry minimal and intentional, allowing the natural beauty of each stone to take center stage.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully handmade, ensuring it is both beautiful and lasting. I’m committed to using ethically sourced stones, minimizing waste, and making sustainability a priority in my process.
