my knives are all hand forged with a hammer and anvil from high carbon steel, much of the steel i use is scrap from various sources such as old leaf and coil springs, though i will from time to time source new steel for projects that require specific dimensions that i would have a difficult time sourcing through scrap.
the process of my work is constantly evolving based on new techniques i observe and the time and tools i have available for any given project. each new piece is different from the last as i incorporate the knowledge i’ve gained from previous work into the next piece in production. i dont often try to replicate individual pieces over and over though many of my pieces are variations on theme, whether that is a matter of scale, size, style or technique.
