Beads by Tara was born from my parent’s kitchen table, as I worked to sell handmade jewelry to friends and family to save up for nursing school. After years of wearing skin-irritating metals that flared up my eczema, I made it my mission to find hypoallergenic materials I could actually wear, and began crafting my own jewelry by hand. As more friends and family shared their similar experience with skin-irritating jewelry that tarnished after a few wears, I made it my goal to only work with sustainable, recycled metals that didn’t tarnish and didn’t break the bank. 5 years later and we have customers who have continued to wear our designs for years with no skin issues at all!
