ACGUINA ART
I am a Filipino-American illustrator and relief printmaker based out of Seattle, WA. A lifelong artist, I discovered block printing in 2020, seeking out a more accessible form of printmaking that could be done in my home studio (my dining room table). Initially beginning as a means of connection during the pandemic (sending snail mail), I quickly fell in love with the therapeutic nature of carving and block printing. My block prints focus on tiny details and are quite small themselves, with a majority of them 3” x 4” in size. I draw inspiration from themes of love and well-being, in addition to plants and animals, and my work is often described as quirky, endearing, and reminiscent of a person or memory.
