Kelsie Macray started Beast and Babe with her best friend and dog pal, Yogi. Their mission was simply to create a leash that reflected their relationship: modern, wild, and full of good vibes.

Sourcing the very best of artisan and vintage fabrics from around the world, Kelsie collected her fabrics and paired them with acid-washed solid brass hardware and handcrafted a truly one-of-a-kind dog leash that is beautiful and well made. Each collar and leash is made by hand at the Beast and Babe studio in Santa Monica, California.

Desert Dreaming Leash

Beast and Babe aims to capture that elusive magic between stillness and story, vintage and modern, beasts and babes; while respecting their philosophy that life is about the journey and true beauty has to come from the inside out. Whether from American sourced denim or a vintage blanket from the Bambara tribe of West Africa, Beast and Babe select their materials consciously to respect.

Kelsie is passionate not only about what she crafts, but also about animals and how awesome they truly are. Beast and Babe has partnered with an non-profit called Peace Animals. With every item sold, Beast and Babe contributes to providing medical treatment for fleas, ticks, worms and mange, to a homeless or neglected animal in Mexico.

We cannot wait to outfit our dogs (and our staff sure has a lot of them!) with these colorful collars and leashes! Check out the Beast and Babe website  and Instagram, and be sure to check out Yogi, he might just win cutest dog one day. And of course, bring your pooch to Grand Park to shop handmade at our LA Holiday Market this weekend!  See you all there!
