VIVEAUX
Victoria Vonderheyden, creator of Viveaux, is a sculptor and ceramicist based out of San Francisco, California. Her work embraces both sculptural and utilitarian forms, while using the human figure as a vessel to explore themes of femininity, empowerment, and transformation.
She designs and sculpts original forms in wax or clay, often creating copies to serve as a foundation for further transformation. Through added hand-sculpted details, intricate surface treatments, and glaze experimentation, each piece is layered with unique characteristics, ensuring that no two are ever truly alike.
Her figurative sculptures often incorporate a sense of realism, capturing the essence of the human form with careful attention to proportion and detail. However, they’re rarely just studies of the figure.
