NINA BOESCH ART
Born in 1978 in Germany, Nina Boesch is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer and artist. She earned a BFA with honors in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and currently resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with her partner and their son, born in 2018.
For over two decades, Boesch has been “upcycling” discarded MetroCards—New York City’s subway tickets—transforming them into intricate, mosaic-like artworks. Each collage is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation. Her work has been exhibited across the United States, attracting an international audience, and is now part of private collections worldwide.
In more recent years, Boesch has expanded her creative practice to craft miniature water towers from discarded plastic and found objects, paying tribute to the city she calls home.
