KARA VOLLE
Kara Volle is a multidisciplinary artist located in Chicago, IL and originally from St. Louis, MO. From a young age she displayed an interest and affinity for both painting and photography. Entirely self-taught she has spent 10+ years evolving her craft and learning new techniques. Historically she has worked with acrylics, but in the winter of 2024 Kara began experimenting with digital painting as a way to lessen her environmental impact and explore a new style of creation. Her artwork is drawn and painted by hand digitally with a final physical form in mind. Kara prints her work on fine art paper and archival canvas in limited quantities, ensuring the intended color and texture at the highest quality.
Being vegan and an environmentalist influences her work as she explores our human impact on the planet and also relationships with other species. Kara strives to bring her audience in with playful colors and emotive subjects, while calling the viewer to consider a new perspective on the subject.
