CHINGONAS
CHiNGONAs is a chili crisp from Mexico and the name tarslates to “bad ass women.” We started the company during the pandemic from our restaurant in the lower Haight. Our regulars started ordering jars to help us through the pandemic and one of them brought us to the local grocery chain and told them they have to start stocking us and we blew up from there! From 8-4pm we are a Salsa Macha factory and from 4-10, we serve Mezcal, tacos and anything else you can pour CHiNGONAs on. It’s a husband and wife team and the chef has two sisters, the wife has 3 sisters and together they have 2 daughters and he always says his life is run by CHiNGONAs.
