The cozy fireplace at Renegade Handmade has been overtaken by a batch of Cordial Kittens! These adorable six-legged cat-erpillars are the focus of our new Spotlight Series. We don’t like to pick favorites, but have you seen Fritz the Strongman(cat)? Super awesome.
And guess what?? Candice of Cordial Kitten has been kind enough to offer the most excellent siamese mustachioed cat-erpillar (below!) to one lucky blog reader! To enter, you have to leave a comment below as a lolcat caption. We’ll pick a winner Wednesday at 1pm (Chicago time!). Inspiration, and hours of entertainment, can of course be found here. Get commentin’!!.
Loving this print by abby try again (who will be at the Austin Renegade Craft Fair!! Yes!!)
We’re also big fans of this note by Gemma Correll. We don’t like to pick favorites, but…
We just got in a fresh batch of handmade awesomeness from erinzam, including her ultra-rad chalkboard book. It gave us a little inspiration to see other clever uses of chalkboards (including the amazing version in 500 Days of Summer. We’d like one, please.)
Clockwise from top: 500 Days of Summer, vintage chalkboard globe, chalkboard walls, & chalkboard wall calendar.

Well, this is the most adorable thing we’ve seen in a looooong time. Chicago artist Rebeccca M. Dudley creates handmade whimsical dioramas from scratch, photographs them, and writes simple stories around them. Follow her blog Storywoods to see the next (super-cute) installment. The perfect little snow day diversion.
